Death Game
The Mysterious Ending of a Death Game
[“Before you participate in the death game, there is one thing you must understand. Your life is absolutely not guaranteed. If you still wish to participate, press the button.”
I stared at the message on the screen, lost in thought.
I could die playing a game. But the prize money was worth billions.
Being chased by loan sharks as I was, this wasn’t the time to be picky. I pressed the accept button.
The screen changed and the words “Registration Complete” appeared. And so began the moment I would regret most in my life.]
The screenplay I wrote caught the attention of an entertainment company and was produced as a series.
It went on to achieve unprecedented success. Not only was it popular with audiences, but critics were unanimous in their praise.
However, there was one part that puzzled everyone: “Why didn’t the protagonist take the prize money at the end and just disappear?”
Was it an act of rebellion against the system? Or was it petty pride? To be honest, I don’t know either.
Why I acted that way.
🐰 Unless I risk my life, I'll never get my hands on a huge amount of money, right?
